Your body is made up of connective tissue and, when not worked out regularly, it becomes stiff which hinders your flexibility.
Yin yoga utilizes passive asanas (poses) that are held for an extended time frame to help work out and loosen that connective tissue. By gently stretching the connective tissue with longer held yin poses you will eventually find that this tissue will stretch and become stronger; this is exactly what you want to happen in your body.
Some props are utilized to assist with getting into a comfortable position while stretching out the specific areas
Great for all levels from beginner to advanced.
